Department of Pathology

The Clinical Pathology, Histopathology, Cytopathology, Haematology, Blood Bank and Clinical Pathology were the basic sections of the department which have evolved over the years into more specialized facilities with the growth of the Institution. There has been a steady upward trend in the Biopsy load as well as all diagnostic facilities offered by this department.

Services Offered
Histopathology:

This section processes well over 1000 tissue samples per year. Routine processing is supplemented with rapid processing for selected cases.

Cytopathology:

Samples are processed as early as possible to the patient requirements. The materials processed include fine needle aspirations, body fluids and Pap smears.

Cancer Screening Programs

Screening for Cancer Cervix, Cancer Breast.
