PHARMACOVIGILANCE COMMITTEE

The Pharmacovigilance Committee Government Medical College, Ongole is constituted for detection, assessment, understanding, and prevention of adverse effects (ADR) or any other drug-related problem. The aims of this committee are to enhance patient care and patient safety in relation to the use of medicines.

Scope

Functions of the committee will include, but are not limited to :

  • Supervise the detection and reporting ADR
  • Coordinate with the nearest adverse drug reaction monitoring centre (AMC)
  • Develop and promote ADR reporting among the healthcare personals as well as the students.
